ASARI offers the practice scope, research experience and clinical expertise you look for in clinical research trials. We have conducted over 17 phase III and IV clinical studies since opening in 1989. Our practice offers flexible scheduling to accommodate subject availability, state of the art equipment, and Board Certified physicians.

Morris Beck, M.D.Morris Beck, M.D. -- Founder & Director, Principal Investigator
Dr. Beck is Chief of Allergy at Miami Children's Hospital and Former Chief of the Allergy Division at the VA Hospital in Miami. He is considered one of South Florida's experts on allergic diseases, and he was recently voted one of South Florida's "Top Doctors." Food allergy is one of his major areas of expertise. Dr. Beck is certified by the American Board of Allergy / Immunology and a member of the FAAIS.


Mark Young, M.D.Mark Young, M.D. -- Associate Director, Subinvestigator
Dr. Young performed his Allergy / Immunology training at Georgetown University. He is the Associate Director of the Department of Allergy / Immunology at Miami Children's Hospital. He often lectures to physicians on Allergic Rhinitis and on the proper use of antihistamines. Dr. Young is certified by the American Board of Allergy / Immunology and a member of the FAAIS. Dr. Young speaks English and Spanish.


Elena Ubals, M.D.Elena Ubals, M.D. -- Associate Director, Subinvestigator
Dr. Ubals completed her fellowship training at University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She has a particular interest in insect sting allergies and lectures extensively on these and other allergic disorders. Dr. Ubals is certified by the American Board of Allergy / Immunology and a member of the Florida Allergy Asthma and Immunology Society (FAAIS). She was recently voted one of South Florida's "Top Doctors" in a survey of South Florida physicians. She speaks English and Spanish.


Dr. Neil GershmanNeil Gershman, M.D. -- Principal & Subinvestigator
Dr. Gershman completed his Allergy / Immunology training at University of California, San Francisco, and concentrated on asthma research involving inhaled steroids and other anti-asthma drugs. Drug allergy is also one of his main interests. Dr. Gershman is certified by the American Board of Allergy / Immunology, and currently is the Public Relations Chairman of the FAAIS.

Current Clinical Research Studies

Allergy Studies: We are recruiting subjects with allergies to participate on a clinical Research Study being conducted from mid-February thru the Summer 2005. Kendall area only.

We are currently enrolling study subjects for people with allergies. Benefits for studies include study-related checkups, study-related investional drugs and compensation for the subject's time and effort. The studies require that you are able to commit to appointments and specific morning hours.
